The North Dakota Champions Ball is the premiere fundraising event for University of North Dakota Athletics. Join more than 800 alumni, friends and fans in supporting student-athletes at this biennial event. Proceeds benefit UND Athletics by providing crucial financial support for student-athletes and program priorities.

The need is great. 

Every year, the University of North Dakota Athletics Department invests over $5 million in scholarships alone. Scholarships are the cornerstone of collegiate sports; enabling the University to recruit and retain the most talented and promising student-athletes. For some, scholarships are a path to a degree that might otherwise have been beyond their reach.

In addition to scholarships, UND Athletics has created the 701 Award to further enhance the student-athlete experience. The 701 Award offers student-athletes a financial opportunity to stay at UND, based on their academic and program standing. It is a separate financial award from a student-athlete’s scholarship or cost of attendance award.

“Our student-athletes are so dedicated to their teams and in the classroom and it’s great to see that dedication reflected in the passion of our fans,” said Bill Chaves, UND Director of Athletics. “The Champions Ball is a celebration of everything that makes the University special while supporting our outstanding student-athletes.”
