Spectra, providers of Venue Management, Food Services & Hospitality, and Partnerships at Alerus Center, is very excited to announce the first annual Season of Giving presented by Cities 104.3.
From November 13 – December 27, Spectra’s focus will be towards a season of giving, sharing, and promoting social good. Each event will highlight amazing people, charities, and causes with the goal of generating fundraising dollars, raising awareness, and spreading holiday cheer in the Greater Grand Forks Area Community.

Food Drive: Starting November 13, we will be collecting non-perishable items to be donated to Northlands Rescue Mission. If you donate 5 or more items before November 20, you will receive a voucher for $5 off to our Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Show. On Tuesday, we will have someone designated outside Entrance 8 to collect the donated items. After Tuesday, please drop off donations at the Alerus Center Admin Office located inside Entrance 1. Our business hours are M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM. We will be collecting donations until December 27.
Feed the Pets: Starting November 28, we will be collecting items to be donated to the Circle of Friends Humane Society. On Wednesday, we will have someone designated outside Entrance 8 to collect the donated items. After Wednesday, please drop off donations at the Alerus Center Admin Office located inside Entrance 1. Our business hours are M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM. We will be collecting donations until December 27.
Blood Drive: We will be hosting a Blood Drive put on by Dak-Minn Blood Bank on Wednesday, December 5 from 11:00AM-6:00PM. It will be held in Alerus Center ballroom. Please use Entrance 6.
Drive-In Movie Night: We will be showing Frozen on our jumbotrons inside the arena on Saturday, December 8. We will be providing free popcorn and thanks to Coca-Cola, everyone who attends Family Movie Night will get to enjoy a free Coke! Doors will open at 6:00PM, movie will start at 7:15PM. Reminder, this is a FREE EVENT to attend.
"Stuff the Sleigh" Gift Drive: We will be kicking off the "Stuff the Sleigh" on Tuesday, December 11. On Tuesday, we will have a sleigh outside of Alerus Center where you can drop off gifts to be donated to the CVIC. We will still collect items after that day and we ask that you drop off your donations at the Alerus Center Admin Office located inside Entrance 1. Our business hours are M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM. We will be collecting donations until December 27.
Breakfast with Santa: Breakfast with Santa will be held in our ballrooms on Saturday, December 15 from 8:00AM-11:00AM. Breakfast will be provided courtesy of Ground Round. Free will donations will also be accepted. Also, pictures with Santa will be available!
Spectra Supports: December 18 is a day where our Spectra team here at Alerus Center will go out in the community and volunteer our time.
Big Ticket Giveaway: The Big Ticket Giveaway courtesy of the Greater Grand Forks Convention & Visitor's Bureau will be a contest that will run from November 16 - December 16 where anyone can sign up for a chance to WIN 2 FREE CLUB SEATS TO EVERY EVENT HELD AT ALERUS CENTER IN 2019. The winner of the contest will be announced on Thursday, December 20. More details to follow.
Ticket Donation: On behalf of Altru, Alerus Center will be donating a group of tickets to our PAW Patrol Live event to the Sunshine Hospitality Home on Thursday, December 27.
Along with all of these events, the Spectra team at Alerus Center is going to "Adopt a Family" and provide assistance to a family in need this holiday season.
